I spent my most formative years within the extreme diversity of India, Bangkok and Tasmania. 11 schools - 9 cities :: it kinda opens you up to people, culture and and the likeness between.
I love to tell stories visually, and i think it essentially stems from that upbringing. Visual communication is direct, honest, and speaks the language of emotions and mood rather than words...
In university i studied philosophy and economics; and today when i have to reach in for inspiration thats where i look at first : the science of how and why we live our lives. Craft comes later.
I've been working in film since 1997. After working in a commercial production house for a few years i then worked as a director for MTV. I later moved to New York to study cinematography and work in the independent film scene. I returned to India in 2002 and have been working as a DOP / Director shooting commercials, features, and documentaries.
Currently i'm based in Mumbai and shoot commercials in India, South East Asia and Europe.
